Twister's Ice Cream Opens for Season in Chelsea

Spring must be just around the corner. Twister's, the popular Chelsea ice cream destination, opened for the season Feb. 28.

Employees say that since opening, crowds have been steady despite the cold weather.

According to the company, two of the more popular items are the trash can sundae ($3.91), and the Reese's cup sundae ($3.49). The trash can sundae features vanilla ice cream loaded with a trail mix of Oreo cookies, cookie dough, Reese's peanut butter cups, and M&M's, topped with whipped cream and two gummy worms in a novelty trash can cup.

Twister's is open from 1 to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
