Verbal Altercation in Chelsea Escalates to Man Getting Punched in the Face

On April 23, the Chelsea Police Department responded to an assault and battery that took place on the 500 block of N. Main Street.
Police say a verbal altercation, which began inside the establishment, was taken outside and led to one man getting punched in the face by a 20-year-old suspect.
According to the report, the victim was transported to the Chelsea Community Hospital for treatment.

The case remains open pending further investigation, according to the report, and warrant authorization by the Washtenaw County Prosecutors Office.
