2 Report Thefts from Cars; Gas Thief Drives Off

The following information was supplied by the Clawson Police Department.

Two residents on Wilson Avenue reported items were stolen from their cars sometime Friday night.

The first resident on the 200 block of Wilson said she parked her 2002 Chevy Blazer outside her home Friday night and locked it. On Saturday morning, she discovered some of her CDs and a Coach planner were missing, a police report said. The resident said papers were scattered across the front seat and the glove box was open. She later found some of her CDs stacked on her front lawn, a report said.

The second resident in the 80 block of Wilson said someone entered his unlocked 2001 Saturn on Friday night and stole an iPod, two pairs of sunglasses, two pairs of shoes and a backpack containing school books. The resident said he discovered his glove box and center console were open when he returned to the car on Saturday afternoon.

Gasoline thief pumps and goes

Clawson police received a report of a woman in her 30s who stole $39.22 worth of gasoline from the , 1365 W. Maple, on Sunday evening. An attendant told police that around 6 p.m. the woman flagged the attendant to activate the pump and after filling her tank,, she drove off. The attendant said the woman drove north on Crooks Road in an older red Nissan SUV.
