(CLAWSON -- OCTOBER 2, 2024) Linus Schneider, 17, of Royal Oak, MI, has earned the Boy Scouts of America’s highest advancement award, the Eagle Scout Award. Schneider will be recognized in a ceremony this fall.

A member of Troop 1615, chartered with The Church @ Clawson, Schneider is a third generation Eagle Scout in his family after his father and grandfather.

Only approximately 6 percent of all Boy Scouts attain the Eagle rank, according to Scoutmaster Jeff Toenniges. Each candidate must earn a minimum of 21 merit badges and successfully complete a community-related service project to earn Eagle; Schneider led a group of volunteers to clean, prime and paint Clawson city fire hydrants along Main Street.
