Angry Customer Bites Ear Off Restaurant Owner: Police
A woman reportedly became so angry at the language barrier between her and the owner of a Chinese restaurant that she attacked him.

MOUNT CLEMENS, MI — A 24-year-old Mount Clemens woman is facing a charge of assault with intent to maim after reportedly attacking the owners of a Chinese restaurant. Police say Jade Anderson came into China 1 Restaurant in Mount Clemens around 9:40 p.m. Thursday to complain about an order she had received. She was reportedly talking to the owners, a husband and wife, and their son, who was translating the conversation into English for the couple.
According to police, the language barrier frustrated Anderson so much that she pushed the son down, threw her food onto the floor and began to assault the woman who owned the restaurant. The woman’s husband reportedly stepped in to defend his wife, when anderson allegedly big his ear, detaching part of it, police said.
Both were treated for injuries and Anderson was taken to Macomb County Jail. Authorities then learned Anderson had a small child at home who she left unsupervised. Police turned the child over to a “responsible adult,” they said.
