Clinton Twp. Man Wins Classic Set of Wheels in Royal Oak Raffle
John Vecchio won this year's 94.7 WCSX Stone Soup Project raffle, making him the new owner of a 1969 cherry red Ford Mustang.

Winning a 43-year-old car may not sound like much of a prize, but when the wheels belong to a 1969 cherry red Ford Mustang, it's a pretty good deal after all.
Clinton Township resident John Vecchio was the owner of the winning ticket in this year's 94.7 WCSX Stone Soup Project raffle, according to the WCSX website. The ticket was drawn Thursday night in Royal Oak and though Vecchio was not present for the drawing, the 575 horsepower Mustang is all his.
The car itself is a product of the 94.7 WCSX Stone Soup Boss 5.0 Project, for which businesses donated parts and labor to rebuild the car in its entirety.Â

"Based on the fable of 'Stone Soup' - where everyone pitches in and you wind up with something wonderful, this project is a reflection of the automotive spirit and hard working nature of Detroit," the website says.
Raffle tickets were $10 each and benefited the Children’s Miracle Network at Beaumont’s Children’s Hospital.
