The stores will serve free soft-serve ice cream cones from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. in exchange for a donation to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. The promotion raises money for services and equipment to benefit hospitalized children at Beaumont Children's Hospital.

“Last year, nearly 30,000 free cones were served and more than $20,000 was raised on Free Cone Day,” Matt Romkey, associate director Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at Beaumont Children’s Hospital, said in a prepared statement. “All of the money raised at DQ on Free Cone Day stays local and provides life-saving care for more than 100,000 sick and injured children treated at Beaumont Children’s Hospital each year.”
