DMC Sinai-Grace Showcases Clinton Township Photographer's Art
Several of Stacy Shaeffer's photographs now adorn the walls of the neonatal intensive care unit at Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit.
The walls of the neonatal intensive care unit at DMC Sinai-Grace are a bit brighter this month thanks to the work of a local photographer.
Featuring larger-than-life smiles, hands and baby toes, three examples of Stacy Shaeffer's work now hang in the recently renovated NICU.
Shaeffer, who owns Stacy Shaeffer Photography in Clinton Township, was contaced by the project manager responsible for the NICU renovation to photograph actual patients for the unit's new artwork.

"My job was to capture a distinct look while keeping the images generic in not showing faces but to capture those most important first images of Mom and Baby together," Shaeffer said.
The collection is titled, "Mother and Baby - Intimate Moments."

DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital welcomes more than 2,000 babies into the world every year. It's NICU provides care for newborns with special needs and those that are born premature.
