Heineken and Hummus? Board to Review Palm Palace Liquor License and More at Township Meeting
The Clinton Township board of trustees will consider the Hall Road restaurant's request along with a number of other items at its 6:30 p.m. meeting today at the Civic Center off Romeo Plank Road.

A liquor license for Palm Palace, outdoor flower sales at Kmart and a preliminary review of the budget proposed for 2013-14 are among the items Clinton Township's board of trustees will consider at tonight's meeting.
Here's a look at some of the items up for discucssion March 11:
- Liquor License: Palm Palace on Hall Road is looking to increase its customer appeal by adding beer, wine and spirits to its menu. The Mediterranean restaurant is asking the township to allocate one of its Class C liquor licenses that would allow the sale of alcohol seven days a week, including AM sales on Sunday. The license would also permit the restaurant to provide entertainment and dancing, which owners say would be "appropriate for a family setting."
- Public Hearings: Community members will have an opportunity to weigh in on the proposed 2013-14 budget and distribution of community development block grant (CDBG)/HOME funds during separate public hearings. View a copy of the proposed 2013-14 budget here.
- Outdoor Flower Sales: With spring just over a week away, both Andrea's FlowerHouse on Hayes and the Kmart on Garfield are requesting township permission to set up outdoor displays for the sale of flowers and other seasonal decor.
- New Parks Ordinance: The board is expected to vote on an extensive ordinance that details the do’s and don’ts associated with use of Clinton Township local parks. View highlights from the proposed ordinance here.
