Investigation Into Death of Freddy’s Bar Owner Hinges on Toxicology Reports
Frederick Craprotta, the owner of Freddy's Bar, was found dead Sept. 11 in his Clinton Township apartment, according to police.

While there were no signs of foul play, Clinton Township police say they will wait to learn the results of toxicology reports to close their investigation into the death of a Clinton Township bar owner.
Frederick Craprotta, the 44-year-old owner of Freddy’s Bar, was found dead Sept. 11 in his Clinton Township apartment, according to police.
An employee of the bar told police that Craprotta had left the 40000 Garfield Rd. venue at around 11:30 p.m. Sept. 10.

When employees were unable to contact Craprotta on Sept. 11, they went to his apartment, where they found him unresponsive. The employees then called 911, according to police.
Det. Capt. Richard Maierle said an autopsy has been conducted, but the cause of death has not been determined as police are still waiting on the results of toxicology reports.

Craprotta was on multiple prescription medications at the time of his death, according to police.
