Last Day to Pay Summer Taxes in Clinton Twp. Without Penalty

Clinton Township residents can pay their summer 2012 taxes without penalty through 4:30 p.m. Sept. 14.

Today is the last day Clinton Township can pay their summer taxes without penalty.

After Sept. 14, 2012, the following penalties are assessed:

  • 1 percent penalty for non-payment Sept. 15-Sept. 30
  • Additional 1 percent penalty for non-payment each month Oct. 1 through Feb. 28, 2013.
  • Failure to receive your tax bill does not waive interest or penalty.

Check the 2012 summer tax rates here. Clinton Township currently collects the millages for the Chippewa Valley, L'Anse Creuse, Clintondale, Fraser and Mount Clemens school districts.

How to Pay

To pay your taxes in person, bring your entire tax bill to the Treasurer's Office, 40700 Romeo Plank Road, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The office only accepts cash or check payments. 

A secure drop box, where payments can be deposited 24 hours a day, is located at the main doors of the Civic Center Building. Clearly label your correspondence ATTN: Treasurer. Payments received after 4:30 p.m. will be credited for the next business day.

Taxes can also be paid at any Comerica Bank branch in Macomb County. Residents must present the entire bill and make checks payable to "Clinton Township Treasurer." Partial payments are not accepted by the bank.

Taxes can also be paid online. Clinton Township does not assess service fees for electronic payments made from your checking or savings account. Payments made after 7 p.m. are credited to the next business day.

  • Parcel ID
  • Bank Routing number
  • Savings or checking account number
