Macomb County Donut Shop Worker Shoots, Kills Armed Robber: Police

Police said a man walked into the donut shop with a gun and demanded money​. The worker then shot the robbery suspect, police said.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A Macomb County donut shop worker shot and killed an armed robber Thursday, according to police.

The incident happened 12:45 p.m. Thursday at the Golden Donuts on Harper Avenue in Clinton Township, according to police.

Police said a man in his mid-30s walked into the donut shop with a gun and demanded money. The worker then pulled out a handgun and shot the robbery suspect, according to police.

The wounded man was able to leave the shop and drive away to a gas station at 15 Mile and Harper, according to police.

Officers found him at the gas station and took him to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries, according to police.
