Macomb County Teen Charged As Adult In Fatal Shooting Of Detroit Mom
Police said the mom tried to intervene in a fight between her 15-year-old son and another teen when she was shot to death.
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A Macomb County teen is facing charges in connection with a double shooting that left a Detroit mother dead last week, according to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.
Tasneen Sherrod, 42, was shot to death while trying to break up a fight between two teens at 8:10 pm. last Wednesday in the area of Greiner and Runyon streets near Seven Mile Road and Hoover Street, according to police.
Anthony Deshawn Sneed, 15, was charged as an adult with felony murder, juvenile defendant, second-degree murder, assault with intent to murder, armed robbery and four counts of felony firearm. He is expected to appear in court Wednesday afternoon.

Police said Sherrod tried to break up a fight between her 15-year-old son and Sneed.
During that fight, Sneed stole a handgun from the 15-year-old boy, according to police.

When Sherrod intervened in the fight, Sneed fatally shot her, according to police.
The teen also shot Sherrod's 15-year-old son, who was taken to a nearby hospital with critical injuries, according to police.
Sneed fled the scene after the shooting, but turned himself in to police the next day, according to police.
Investigators do not know what sparked the fight between the two teens or if they knew each other.
