Magazine Scammers Going Door-to-Door in Clinton Township
Clinton Township police say they have received at least two reports of individuals falsely claiming to be student athletes selling magazine subscriptions to benefit soldiers.

Clinton Township police are asking residents to be on the look out for individuals selling fake magazine subscriptions under the guise of being local student athletes.
Police say at least two individuals have gone door-to-door in the township asking residents to buy magazine subscriptions which they claim will go to soliders. Investigators told ClickonDetroit.com they believe the pair may be part of a larger operation.
In one report, a 20-year-old Arizona woman identified herself as a Fraser softball athlete, while another involved a man who said he was from a local soccer team. The latter scammed an elderly woman out of $352, according to ClickonDetroit.
