Mostly Sunny Weekend Ahead For Metro Detroit

The heat and humidity from the week will move out on Friday for a cooler, drier weekend in Metro Detroit.

METRO DETROIT, MI — After a week of high humidity, rain and a dash of heat, Metro Detroiters can look forward to a cooler, drier weekend. According to the National Weather Service, high temperatures will be in the low 80s all weekend and the only chance for rain looks like Sunday morning.

If you’re getting the weekend started early on Friday, look for a high of 81 with a light northwest breeze up to 11 mph. A comfortable, put-the-fan-in-the-window overnight temperature will drop to 62. Here’s a look at the rest of the metropolitan Detroit weekend forecast:

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. North northwest wind around 6 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon. Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 66. West southwest wind around 7 mph.

Sunday: A chance of showers after 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. West wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 62.

The work week will continue the roll of nice weather. Monday looks like a mostly sunny day with a high near 80, according to the National Weather Service.
