Outdoor Burning of Fall Leaves Prohibited for Clinton Township Residents
The Clinton Township Fire Department reminds residents that fall leaves must be disposed of as yard waste.

As leaves on the ground begin to outnumber those on the trees, homeowners find themselves faced with the arduous task of raking and disposing of a season's worth of yard waste.
But as this clean-up process begins, the Clinton Township Fire Department asks residents to remember that open burning of leaves and other brush is strictly prohibited throughout the township.
Leaves and other other yard waste should be placed in either paper compost bags or 32-gallon trash cans with no bags. The trash cans must have a compost sticker which is available at the Department of Public Works or by calling 586-286-9465. Compost containers cannot be heavier than 50 pounds.
