Popular Chicken Restaurant Opening New Metro Detroit Location

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A popular chicken restaurant is opening a new metro Detroit location this week.

Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken is opening its newest restaurant Thursday in Clinton Township. The new location is at 41501 Garfield Road, which is between 18 Mile and Canal roads.

There will be a grand-opening ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. and the first 100 guests will be treated to a free two-piece chicken breast meal.

There will also be giveaways and other events throughout the opening day.

The new restaurant is the second Lee's Chicken in Macomb County and joins 11 other restaurants in Michigan, according to the company’s website.

Overall, there are 130 Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken locations in 12 states and Canada, the majority of which are individually owned and operated, according to the company’s website.

Lee’s chicken is best-known for their chicken dishes served with side dishes including, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese and baked beans. They're also known for their famous chicken sandwich, which features chipotle ranch and pickles on a brioche bun.
