Storage Facility To Replace Shuttered Bowling Alley
Redevelopment of the old Fountainview Lanes is moving forward, according to Clinton Township officials.
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI β Not every new development can be as glamorous as a new hotel. But for Clinton Township, that doesnβt mean a planned storage facility at the site of the former Fountainview Lanes on Groesbeck Highway isnβt equally welcomed. Redevelopment of the site, which also contained a comedy club, is moving forward, according to a Macomb Daily report.
βThis is going to be one of the nicest storage facilities you will see. It will not look like your normal storage center,β developer Nick Lavdas said.
βThe outside looks like garbage right now, but when theyβre done, itβs going to look quite nice,β Clinton Township Supervisor Bob Cannon said. βHe has some nice plans for storage of boats and cars, and heβs going to place a wrought iron fence around the property.β
