Storage Facility To Replace Shuttered Bowling Alley

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — Not every new development can be as glamorous as a new hotel. But for Clinton Township, that doesn’t mean a planned storage facility at the site of the former Fountainview Lanes on Groesbeck Highway isn’t equally welcomed. Redevelopment of the site, which also contained a comedy club, is moving forward, according to a Macomb Daily report.

“This is going to be one of the nicest storage facilities you will see. It will not look like your normal storage center,” developer Nick Lavdas said.

“The outside looks like garbage right now, but when they’re done, it’s going to look quite nice,” Clinton Township Supervisor Bob Cannon said. “He has some nice plans for storage of boats and cars, and he’s going to place a wrought iron fence around the property.”
