Suspect Pleads No Contest to Causing Crash That Killed 2 Motorcyclists in Clinton Twp.
Jeffery Jones, 46, pleaded no contest Tuesday to three charges stemming from the August accident that killed two people and seriously injured a third on Gratiot near Metro Parkway.

The 46-year-old man accused of causing the drunken driving accident that killed two motorcyclists and injured a third last summer in Clinton Township has pleaded no contest to the charges against him.
In lieu of a trial, Jeffery Jones pleaded no contest Tuesday to two counts of operating under the influence of alcohol causing death and one count of operating while intoxicated causing injury, according to Macomb County Circuit Court records.
The accident took place around 11 p.m. Aug. 17, 2012 on southbound Gratiot just north of Metro Parkway in Clinton Township. A police investigation following the crash revealed Jones had been speeding when he struck Roseville residents Kelly Potasnik, 47, and Thomas Taylor, 58, from behind. A third motorcyclist was also hit.
