Woman Hit, Killed By SUV While Crossing Macomb County Road: Police

Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, according to police.​​​

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A woman died after she was hit by an SUV Wednesday morning in Clinton Township, according to police.

Police said the 42-year-old woman was walking across Metro Parkway near Gratiot Avenue at 4:32 a.m. when she was hit by a Kia Sportage.

Officials took her to a nearby hospital where she died, according to police.

The driver stayed at the scene and was not injured in the crash, according to police.
