The American Arab Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Detroit City Football Club (DCFC), is excited to announce the first-ever Arab American Heritage Night, a celebration blending the passion of football with the rich traditions of Arab American culture. Taking place on Sunday, September 22, at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck, the event will begin at 3:00 p.m. and bring together football fans, families, and community members. Highlights include a DCFC match against Louisville City FC and a live performance by the Thowra Dabke Dance Troupe.

"We are excited to bring our community together for a day that’s about much more than football. Arab American Heritage Night is about celebrating our culture, our people, and our contributions to this vibrant community across all industries," said Bilal Hammoud, Executive Director of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce. "DCFC has long been a symbol of inclusivity and unity in Detroit, and this event strengthens the bond between the Arab American community and the team we all love. It’s a chance for families to enjoy great food, exciting entertainment, and of course, cheer on our home team. We see this as the foundation of a long-term partnership that will open the door for even more exciting opportunities for collaboration in the future.”

The partnership between the Chamber and DCFC goes beyond just a single event. As Detroit City FC has been known for its strong grassroots initiatives and community engagement, this collaboration lays the groundwork for further joint efforts aimed at enhancing Arab American representation in sports and local business initiatives. Through this and future events, the Chamber and DCFC aim to foster deeper connections between Arab American entrepreneurs and the wider Detroit community, setting the stage for long-term growth and success.
