Book On History Of Dearborn Fire Department Benefits Charity
Three retired Dearborn firefighters have written a book tracing the department's history.

From Dearborn FD: Three retired firefighters, Joseph E. Provost, Donald Linske, and Michael Birrell, have published a book that traces the history of the Fire Department.
All the proceeds of the sale of “Dearborn Michigan Fire Department, a Chronological History” will go to the Dearborn Firefighters Burn Drive, a registered 501c non-profit organization that supports children with burns and mentally or physically challenging issues, and financially-challenged families.
The book costs $46.95 for a hardcover version, and $31.95 for a soft cover version.

The account traces the nearly 150-year history of the Fire Department, from 1869, when fire threatened the Army Arsenal at Dearbornville, through consolidations, to modern times.
It is available for purchase at the Dearborn Historical Museum, 915 S. Brady, or at Dearborn Fire Department Headquarters, at 3750 Greenfield Road.
