Boston Marathon Runners Post 'We're OK' to Dearborn Friends on Facebook
Five Dearborn residents attended the Boston Marathon, which was rocked by two explosions about three hours after the winners crossed the finish line.

Heather Ferris of Dearborn wants her friends back home to know that she and her family are OK following two explosions that rocked the Boston Marathon on Monday.
"Thank God we are all okay. We appreciate your concerns. We are blessed to have such great family and friends. We were a few blocks away from the Boston Marathon finish line when we heard the explosions. We got out of the city okay and are currently on the road home," Ferris wrote on her Facebook page.
Ferris, a science teacher at Dearborn Public Schools, is one of five Dearborn residents participating in the marathon.
