Community Invited to Wednesday Barbecues at Oakwood Common

Weekly barbecues are returning to Oakwood Common in Dearborn beginning May 8.

The public is invited to join residents for the community barbecue held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Wednesday on the Bistro patio. Oakwood Common is located at 16351 Rotunda Drive.

“Last year, we had such a great response to the weekly barbecues that we’ve decided to bring them back,” said Mary Granata, Oakwood Common’s director of sales. “We have an excellent grill master and for five dollars and less, you can enjoy a complete lunch.”

The weekly barbecues are scheduled to continue through September as weather permits. The menu includes hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, cole slaw, chips, pop and watermelon.

“After lunch you can also take time to walk along the scenic pathways that surround our beautiful campus," Granata said.
