Dearborn Offers Swimming Lessons At Outdoor Pools
Swimming lessons begin on July 8. Here's a look at the options.

DEARBORN, MI — Dearborn-area youngsters can learn to swim this summer by taking lessons through the Dearborn Recreation & Parks Department. Lessons begin July 8 at the city’s outdoor pools.
The two-week session, during which classes meet Monday through Thursday for 30 minutes, runs through July 18 at Dunworth, Lapeer, Summer Stephens and Ten Eyck Pools. Make-up classes, if required, will be conducted on Fridays. An additional two-week session will run July 22-August 1.
Dunworth Pool will offer a final two-week session August 5-15.

The cost is $60 for Dearborn residents and $80 for non-residents.
All participants must also purchase a seasonal swim tag. Tags for Dearborn residents, ages 17 and under, are $55 and non-resident tags are $120.

Swim lesson registration and pool tag sales are conducted at the service desk of the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.
