Dearborn Police Warn of Multiple Vehicle Larcenies
According to Crime Mapping.com, break-ins occurred on S. Lafayette St. and Rockford and S. Claremont streets since May 1.

Detectives at the Dearborn Police Department said Thursday that they are investigating a string of vehicle break-ins over the past few weeks.
According to Crime Mapping.com, police responded to a vehicle break-in at Rockford and S. Claremont streets on May 6. Parts and accessories were stolen from the vehicle. A second larceny took place in the 5000 block of Schaefer at 3:44 p.m. on May 6.
Two break-ins also occurred in the 400 block of S. Lafayette Street at 4 a.m. May 7, and at 10 p.m. May 6, police said. On May 8, officers responded to the 400 block of N. Franklin St. for a larceny complaint as well.
The Dearborn Police Department is reminding residents to take the following precautions:

- Remember to keep your vehicle locked and windows rolled up even if the vehicle is parked in your driveway or in front of your home.
- Park your vehicle in your garage or in your driveway whenever possible.
- Do not leave valuables (GPS units, MP3 players, laptops, money, etc.) visible in your vehicle.
- Never leave any personal information in your vehicle such as the vehicle title, registration, or insurance.
- Residents should avoid leaving their vehicles running unattended even for a short period.
- Be aware of your surroundings and trust your instincts.
