Dearborn's Leaf Collection Service Ending Until 2019
Here's what you need to know about loose leaf collections for the rest of 2018.

DEARBORN, MI β After Friday, loose leaf pickup will not be available in Dearborn until 2019.
The cityβs two separate programs to collect leaves from in front of residential properties are both ending this week, with the last collection on a neighborhoodβs trash day.
The first program, the collection of loose leaves raked into the street, ended this week, with the last pickup on an areaβs trash day.

The cityβs second program, the curbside collection of bagged or containerized leaves, also ends Friday. Pickup is guaranteed if you bag or containerize your leaves. Pickup is on your trash day.
After Friday, the cityβs trash contractor cannot pick up bagged leaves or bagged yard waste. They canβt be picked up again until March 2019, when the curbside collection of yard waste begins again.

If you donβt want to store your bagged leaves or bagged yard waste all winter, you can take it to the DPW yard on the third Saturday of each month for disposal. The next scheduled DPW yard day is Saturday, Dec. 15. It is open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
