Discounted Rates Offered For Dearborn Homecoming 5K
The 5-kilometer race, which will be 80s-themed this year, kicks off at Ford Field Park.

DEARBORN, MI — Local runners who plan to take part in Dearborn’s Fourth Annual Homecoming 5K this summer should register soon for a discounted entry fee.
Now through 11:59 p.m. on June 30, tickets are discounted to $32 plus a $4 signup fee. After June 30, registration will increase to $37 plus a $4 signup fee, until race day. The 5K is set for Aug. 4.
The 5-kilometer race, which will be 80s-themed this year, kicks off at Ford Field Park, 500 S. Brady St., at 8 a.m.. Runners will loop around the Rouge River Gateway trail near the University of Michigan-Dearborn, ending back at the park. Prizes will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female finishers in 12 age groups.

"This is one of the most anticipated festivals in the region, and we're always fortunate to be a part of it," race director Rich Swor said. "Dearborn is my hometown and I love coming back every year to celebrate it the best way I know how – with a race and the running community."

Registration includes a custom Fourth Annual Dearborn Homecoming 5K shirt, a finisher’s medal, awards, live results, and post-race food and drinks.
This year, an economy option is also available for $25 plus a $3.50 signup fee through June 30, at 11:59 p.m. This option allows runners to partake in the 5K race, but does not offer a t-shirt or finisher’s medal.
Free parking for the races will be available at the baseball fields on the corner of Brady and Monroe streets.

Proceeds from the race this year will benefit the Dearborn Community Fund, a nonprofit that supports art, cultural and recreational programs in Dearborn, and is the organizer of Homecoming, along with the City of Dearborn.
