Employees Hurt In Dearborn Armed Robbery
Dearborn Police said five armed suspects robbed a beauty supply store Saturday night.

DEARBORN, MI — Kay Beauty Supply Store on Wyoming Avenue was robbed Saturday night of an unspecified amount of cash, according to Dearborn Police. Five suspects described as African-American men entered the shop at about 8:40 and demanded cash from a register and a safe, a police report stated.
Four of the men were masked and the suspects were armed with shotguns and handguns, Dearborn Police said. Several employees sustained non-life threatening injuries incident. Police said no shots were fired, however.
Police reports said the men fled the scene in a black Chevrolet Tahoe, which had been reported stolen prior to the robbery. The store sits on Wyoming just south of Tireman Avenue on Dearborn’s east side.

“Crimes of this nature are particularly disturbing because the suspects showed no regard for the safety of the employees,” Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said in a statement. “Crimes like this will not be tolerated. We are urging the public to come forward with information regarding this incident.”

The Dearborn Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects in this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call 313-943-2241 or if you wish to remain anonymous you can call 1-800-CrimeStoppers. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for the information leading to the arrest of the suspect in this case.
