Flag Day Ceremony Planned In Dearborn
Have any old flags that need to be properly disposed of? The city of Dearborn is currently accepting them.

DEARBORN, MI — The public is invited to attend Dearborn’s annual Flag Day ceremony at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 14. The event will be held at Ford Field Park on Cherry Hill Street, west of Brady Street.
June 14, 2019 will mark the 242nd anniversary of the adoption of the nation’s flag by the Continental Congress in 1777.
The June 14 Flag Day commemoration will include a dignified ceremony to burn tattered American flags, keeping with American Legion protocols for the disposal of flags no longer fit for public display. The ceremony is held in conjunction with the Dearborn Allied War Veterans Council.
