Local Couple Exchange Nuptials at Dearborn White Castle
Mary Arndt and Jay Sunde of Fraser won a contest sponsored by WDVD-FM radio station.

Every girl dreams about being married in a castle.
For Mary Arndt of Fraser, that dream came true on Sunday, when she walked down the aisle at White Castle on South Telegraph Road in Dearborn with her fiance, Jay Sunde.
The pre-planned marriage ceremony was part of a contest the couple won sponsored by the restaurant chain and 96.3 WDVD radio station.

Amid customer orders of sliders and French fries, Arndt and Sunde exchanged vows in front of friends and family after more than two years of courtship.
The restaurant gave the wedding a fairy-tale touch, complete with a carriage ride to the ceremony provided by Aristocat Transportation, a beautiful cupcake wedding tower courtesy of Gigi's Cupcakes, and an all-you-can-eat White Castle dinner, with photos provided by Sunflower Productions.

Arndt said it seemed fitting to have her wedding at the restaurant, which is where she met Sunde.
"We were out on a bike ride late one night, and suddenly I had a craving for some sliders," Arndt said. "While stepping off the bike, I slipped and Jay caught me before I fell. I thanked him for catching me and he replied, 'Sweetheart, I'll always be there to catch you.'"
White Castle District Supervisor Diana Ford said the Dearborn wedding was the fifth hosted by the company in Michigan. The others took place in Farmington Hills, Eastpointe, and Warren.
Ford said the wedding went off without any problems, and restaurant staff enjoyed being part of the lucky couple's special day.
