Make-A-Wish Flies Dutch Teen to Dearborn to See Dream Truck
At Ford Motor Co.'s Rouge plant, teen saw the past and the future when he cruised in a Model-T and a yet-to-be released Ford F-150.

DEARBORN, MI – A Dutch teenager flew halfway around the world to see his favorite truck in the world, the Ford F-150, as part of a very special and international Make-A-Wish dream.
When 17-year-old Harm Jan Bosch, who has a congenital heart condition, was asked by the Make-A-Wish Foundation what his wish was, he passed on the usual suspects — a trip to Disney World or a massive shopping spree.
Instead, the Dutch teen wanted to see where the Ford F-150 was built.

So what makes the F-150 so cool in this cool teen’s eyes? “They’re big, they’re strong, they’re nice,” Bosch told WWJ/CBS Detroit. “Very cool trucks.”
Make-A-Wish Netherlands and Make-A-Wish Michigan sprang into action and arranged for Bosch, his parents and four siblings to fly from their native Netherlands to Dearborn. It doesn’t stop there.

The Bosch family was treated to a private Ford Rouge Factory Tour, cruised around the Henry Ford Museum in a Model T, and took a spin in an unreleased Ford F-150, MLive.com reported.
Bosch was even put to work at the Ford factory himself, and got to place a “F150” badge on a newly assembled truck. Talk about a kid that’s built tough.
