METRO DETROIT, MI — After a mostly cool weekend, metro Detroit’s work week weather forecast looks like more of the same, according to the National Weather Service. Rain will continue into Sunday night, but the clouds will part to make way for a mostly sunny Monday.

The rest of the week will see below normal temperatures and there will be some rain, too. So if you haven’t started planting flowers or grass seed, it will be a good week to get going. Here’s a closer look at your work week weather forecast:

Sunday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 52. West wind 8 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 69. West southwest wind 9 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 55. South southwest wind 8 to 10 mph.

Tuesday: A chance of showers after 3pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 72. South southwest wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Tuesday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
