The fitness center at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center in Dearborn will get massive upgrades this summer, officials said.

DEARBORN, MI — The fitness center at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center in Dearborn will get massive upgrades this summer, according to officials.
The renovations include improving the design and fitness center with new fitness equipment, upgraded flooring and lighting, a new boiler and a new section of the roof, according to officials.
Other upgrades include, new lockers, larger TVs, new drinking fountains and bottle-filling stations and a new cafe in the main lobby with healthy options for guests, according to officials.

"These renovations mark another significant stride in our ongoing efforts to enhance City infrastructure and services. The renovations that will be made at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center this summer will usher in substantial improvements to this beloved community space. I am excited to see this project come to life," Dearborn Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud said.
Construction is scheduled to begin in August. The center will be closed during the renovation work. Officials will provide more updates closer to the start of construction.
