Another inch or two of snow is possible in the Detroit area Thursday as lake effect snow showers hang around throughout the morning hours, the weather service said.
Highs will remain well below freezing and the snow showers should fade away by the afternoon hours, the weather service said.

Overnight lows will fall to near single digits with wind chills dropping to as low as -5 degrees, the weather service.
Even more snow will be coming to the Detroit area amid a series of clipper systems. The first system will move into the region Friday, and forecasters believe that snowmaker will dump an additional 1-3 inches of fresh snow.

Additional clipper systems will bring more snow chances through the weekend along with more arctic air and subzero wind chills early next week, the weather service said.
