The man suspected of shooting the girl barricaded himself in a home before surrendering to police, according to reports.

DETROIT — A 7-year-old girl is in stable condition after being shot in Detroit Thursday morning, according to news reports.

The man accused of shooting the girl surrendered to police after barricading himself in a house for several hours, ClickOnDetroit reported, citing Detroit police.

The shooting stemmed from a domestic situation that began around 11:30 p.m. in the 9600 block of Appoline, the TV station reported.
