Amazon Now Delivers Whole Foods Groceries In Michigan

DETROIT, MI — Need your fresh, organic food in a pinch? How about without leaving your house? Chances are if you're reading this, it’s an option for you.

Amazon has expanded their grocery delivery services through Whole Foods to the metro Detroit and Ann Arbor areas. Members can get deliveries in as little as one hour from Whole Foods Market.

“With our goal to cover as many Prime customers as possible with this new service in Detroit, our coverage is expansive,” said Tanvi Patel, Head of Business Development for Prime Now. “Today we’re excited to reach customers from Lake Orion in the north, to Dearborn in the south, and from West Bloomship Township in the west to Sterling Heights and Clinton Township in the east.”

The launch included select cities across the country, including Jacksonville, Madison, Milwaukee, Omaha, Orlando, St. Louis, Tampa and Tulsa as well as additional areas of New York City and Seattle. Starting today, Prime members in those cities can shop through Prime Now for thousands of items including fresh produce, meat and seafood, everyday staples and other locally sourced items from Whole Foods Market. Now available in 48 cities, the service launched earlier this year with plans for continued expansion across the U.S. throughout 2018.

“Prime Now delivery continues to be a hit with our customers and we’re excited to introduce the service in ten new cities plus more neighborhoods in New York and Seattle,” said Christina Minardi, Whole Foods Market Executive Vice President of Operations.

Prime members can shop thousands of items across fresh and organic produce, bakery, dairy, meat and seafood, floral and everyday staples from Whole Foods Market available for delivery. Delivery from Whole Foods Market is available daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
