Bernie Sanders To Join Picket In Detroit: UAW Strike
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is expected to join UAW union members on the picket lines in Detroit Wednesday.

DETROIT, MI — Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders has made plans to join striking UAW workers Wednesday around Detroit. He said he will be there when they picket at the GM Detroit-HamtramckAssembly plant, the 10th day of the national strike against General Motors, WDIV reported.

"I am proud to support the @UAW workers who are standing up to the greed of GM. Our message to GM is a simple one: End the greed, sit down with the UAW and work out an agreement that treats your workers with the respect and the dignity they deserve."
Sanders won't be the first Democratric presidential candidate to picket with UAW union members: U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, of Massachusetts, also protested with General Motors workers Sunday in Detroit, WDIV reported.
