Chick-fil-A To Open First Downtown Detroit Restaurant This Week
The popular fast-food restaurant is best known for its chicken sandwiches, waffle fries and signature Chick-fil-A dipping sauce.
DETROIT — Chick-fil-A is opening a new restaurant in Downtown Detroit this week.
The restaurant will open Thursday at 660 Woodward in the First National Building, right outside Campus Martius.
To celebrate the opening, Chick-fil-A donated $50,000 each to three area nonprofits: Gleaners Community Food Bank, Food Rescue US - Detroit and the Detroit Public School Foundation to support the Breithaupt Career and Technical Center Culinary Programs.

The new restaurant will be open 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Mon.-Thurs. and 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Fri.-Sat. It joins a Detroit locations at Mack Avenue and the Detroit Medical Center. It also joins 15 other metro Detroit locations.
