City Calls for Nominations to the Detroit Council of the Arts
The City of Detroit announced today a call for nominations to the Detroit Council of the Arts, a 15-member body that advises the Mayor and the Office of Arts, Culture and Entrepreneurship on matters concerning the creative economy, artistic and cultural excellence, and arts education.
The Council will comprise citizen volunteers who are leaders in Detroit’s arts and culture and philanthropic communities.

Interested persons or organizations may nominate qualified persons, including themselves. Please include the nominee's:
- Name
- Occupation or area of expertise
- Address
- Telephone number
- Reason to be considered
Members of the Detroit Council for the Arts are not eligible for City of Detroit grants, commissions or recommendations for service on City projects.

Nominations should be submitted by May 21 to Rochelle Riley, Director of Arts and Culture, at undefeated@detroitmi.gov.
