A Detroit woman is facing murder charges after she crashed a car into a building last week, killing two people, according to prosecutors.
DETROIT — A Detroit woman is facing murder charges after she crashed a car into a building last week, killing two people, according to prosecutors.
The crash happened last Wednesday at a Detroit furniture store near Gratiot Avenue and French Road, according to prosecutors.
Prosecutors said 39-year-old Catone Scott of Detroit was killed in the crash and 39-year-old Jashaunda Scott of Warren later died at the hopsital.

Micah Simone Abby-Willis, 29, was charged with two counts of second-degree murder, operating while intoxicated causing death, reckless driving causing death and driving with a license suspended, revoked or denied causing death.
She was placed in jail and given a $200,000 bond. Her next hearing is scheduled for Aug. 11. If convicted on either murder count, she could spend the rest of her life in prison.

Prosecutors said Abby-Willis was driving drunk and speeding on Gratiot Avenue, where she lost control of the car and crashed into the building. Abby-Willis, Catone Scott and Jashaunda Scott had to be extricated from the car, according to prosecutors.
There was also a large hole in the side of the building.
