DMC Awarded For Organ Donor Sign-ups

Nearly 800 donors signed up in the six-week period, earning the Detroit Medical Center this coveted award.

The Detroit Medical Center (DMC) has received the Gift of Life’s coveted Platinum Award in honor of DMC’s superior participation in the 2017 Gift of Life Michigan Hospital Challenge. DMC is one of two hospitals in the state to receive the coveted Platinum Award.

The Platinum Award is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration (HRSA) Workplace Partnerships for Life program and is directly related to the work that the DMC conducted for the 2017 Hospital Challenge.

Concluding the Challenge, DMC won first place for registering the most organ and tissue donors (763) during a six-week period.
