Ambassador Bridge Fully Open After Explosives Threat: Police

The Ambassador Bridge from Canada to U.S. is fully open and one person is in custody, according to authorities.

DETROIT, MI — Traffic between the United States and Canada is once again fully moving along the Ambassador Bridge after police investigated possible explosives.

Windsor police were called to the Canadian side of the crossing between Windsor, Ontario, and Detroit on Monday morning.

Canada Border Services Agency alerted Windsor police after possible explosives were found inside a vehicle in the secondary inspection area, officers said.

The driver of the involved vehicle was ultimately detained and turned over to the custody of CBSA, police said.
