Former Inkster Teacher Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Minor
A former teacher at Thomas Gist Academy in Inkster has been charged with the sexual assault of a minor from 2007 to 2010, authorities said.

INKSTER, MI — A former teacher at Thomas Gist Academy in Inkster has been charged with the sexual assault of a minor from 2007 to 2010, Wayne County prosecutors said.
Ted Mark Anderson, 61, of Detroit, was arraigned Thursday morning in 36th District Court on six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Anderson was given a $250,000 bond and placed on a GPS tether, prosecutors said. He is to have no unsupervised contact with minors and no contact with the victim in the case, according to the conditions of his bond.

A probable cause conference is scheduled for April 27, with a preliminary examination slated for May 4.
Prosecutors said Anderson is accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl when she was in a sixth-grade class at Thomas Gist Academy. The assaults began in the fall of 2007, prosecutors said.

The identification of the victim, now an adult, is not being released.
Prosecutors said that Anderson would pick the victim up at a bus stop in Inkster and drive her to his home in Detroit or other locations between 2007 and 2010. More details will be released in future court hearings, prosecutors said.
