Heat Index Will Reach 100 Degrees Wednesday
It's going to be a warm, humid day across the region. Here's how to stay safe in the heat that will feel like a scorching 100 degrees.

METRO DETROIT, MI — It’s going to be a steamy day around metro Detroit on Wednesday, with heat advisories in effect across the region, including Oakland, Macomb, Monroe and Wayne counties. The heat advisory will be in effect until 10 p.m.
It will reach just above 90 degrees, but the heat index is expected to reach 100 degrees Wednesday, with a rise in heat and humidity that will last until the night. These conditions may be especially hazardous for the elderly or those with health conditions. Residents are advised to drink lots of fluids, stay in cool temperatures and check on neighbors and loved ones.
Storms may appear later in the evening, too.
