True crime actor Steve Spingola had this to say this about the passing of Dague:

So sad to read MKE County Assistant DA Ron Dague was killed in a plane crash over the weekend. Ron was a tenuous prosecutor in the old drug unit. RIP - Ron Dague. A real public servant, who, unfortunately, will not be getting a state funeral. https://t.co/tAHRmdbP1T — Steve Spingola (@MilwSpinny) September" class="redactor-linkify-object">https://twitter.com/MilwSpinny... 4, 2018

"On behalf of the District Attorney's Office and all our colleagues in the criminal justice system, I extend my deepest condolences to Ron's family and friends at this difficult time. Ron was a gifted trial attorney, a devoted student of the law, and a passionate defender of equity, fairness, and justice. His advocacy helped build a safer community for everyone living in Milwaukee County," John Chisholm, Milwaukee County District Attorney said.
