Metro Detroit Warming Centers Open Amid Bitter Cold Temperatures

METRO DETROIT — Multiple communities in the metro Detroit area are opening warming centers as dangerously cold temperatures move into the region next week.

Temperatures are expected to plunge into the single digits Sunday night with below zero wind chills, according to the weather service.

It will get even colder from there, as highs will stay in the single digits Monday and Tuesday with wind chills falling to as low as 25 degrees below zero Tuesday night, according to the weather service.

Here are some warming centers opening in metro Detroit:

Macomb County
