Michigan Adds 4,964 New Coronavirus Cases, 58 More Deaths Tuesday
More than 707,000 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Michigan.
MICHIGAN — Michigan reported nearly 5,000 new cases of the coronavirus on Tuesday, according to the most recent COVID-19 data released Tuesday by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
The state reported 4,964 new COVID-19 cases and 58 more COVID-19 deaths — 16 of which were identified through a vital records review and occurred previously. The new figures bring Michigan's total coronavirus numbers to 707,463 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 16,297 reported deaths.
Health officials on Saturday reported that as of Friday, 577,141 people in Michigan had recovered from the coronavirus.
