Michigan Coronavirus Cases Near 900,000 Friday
Michigan also is nearing 200,000 reported COVID-19 related deaths, according to state data.
LANSING, MI — Nearly 900,000 confirmed cases of the coronavirus have been reported in Michigan as of Friday, according to the most recent data released by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
According to that data — released Friday and part of the state's twice-a-week COVID-19 data updates — Michigan has reported 1,295 confirmed new cases of the coronavirus since Tuesday. The new figures bring the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state to 899,921, according to MDHHS data.
Michigan on Friday also reported 21 more deaths resulting from the coronavirus, bringing the death toll to 19,883, per MDHHS data.
