Michigan Doctor Traded Pills For Sex: AG
A Michigan doctor is accused of giving patients cash for prescriptions in exchange for oral sex and other acts.

MICHIGAN — A northern Michigan doctor now faces charges for sexually assaulting two female patients after he allegedly prescribed drugs in exchange for sexual favors, Attorney General Bill Schuette said.
Jonathan Robertson, a doctor with offices in Traverse City and Marquette, was charged with eight counts of criminal sexual conduct. The investigation into Robertson began after he Michigan State Police investigators allege between October 2014 and April 2015, Robertson sexually assaulted two female patients who came to him for treatment.
The first victim was looking for treatment for an opioid addiction, the second victim was referred to him for pain management.

“When a woman visits her doctor, she rightfully has the expectation that she will not be sexually assaulted,” Schuette said. "I encourage anyone with information about this case to contact the Michigan State Police."
Schuette said Robertson allegedly penetrated both women with an ungloved hand and forced them to perform oral sex on him. The alleged assaults were done under the guise of treatment but were "often blatant and performed for sexual pleasure," said Schuette.

During the second assault of the first victim, investigators said Robertson gave the woman $200 cash for a prescription. Detectives said both women didn't know Robertson outside of him being their doctor.
Robertson was charged in the Marquette County Court and was given a $2 million bond.
